Cancer That Develops

Cancer That Develops

Cancer can be found in almost any part of the body but there are common areas where the deadly disease often occurs. Here are some of them.

One of the common areas where a Cancer Develops is in the bile duct. As one of the early indication that a cancer is likely to occur in the bile duct, jaundice is caused by a disruption in the bile flow. Such symptom occurs late making a surgical treatment ineffective.

Another frequent spot for cancers to occur is the urinary bladder, which usually bleeds when affected by the deadly disease. During its incipient stage in this area, the cancer resembles floating seaweed. This can even flow outward the bladder, which leads to the cessation of the urine flow. Cancers in this part of the body, if detected early one, can still be subject for treatment- which is either surgical or a surgery and irradiation combination.

Besides these two, bone cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. Two factors are responsible for the growth of development of bone cancer. First, the cancer may be moved into the bone via the blood stream, or second, it may occur in adjacent areas such as an organ or a tissue and eventually move towards the bone.

Bone cancer are often accompanied with pains and swelling around the bone area, both causing bone weakness. When these signs occur, the may bone may even crack even with its slightest contact with a hard material.

The best way to treat bone cancer, so long as it is detected early enough, is through amputating the limb. But if the cancer is on the verge of spreading to other parts of the body, achieving good results might be difficult.

Among women, cancer commonly occurs in the breast. Although this type of cancer also occurs among men, women are 100 times more prone to acquire breast cancer. It ranks second in the common types of cancer after lung cancer.

Next to breast cancer is colon or Colorectal Cancer. This type is cancerous not only in parts of the colon but also in rectum and appendix. It is also the second leading type of cancer in the West. Treatment o such cancer type includes surgery and eventually requires chemotherapy.

Besides cancers of the breast and colon, the most common type of cancer appears in the lung. Such type is even deadlier due to its growth and metastasis that eventually expands to other parts of the body.

As the most common type of cancer among men and the second among women after breast cancer, lung cancer is the culprit for 1.3 million deaths annually. Its symptoms include breath shortage, heavy coughing and weight decrease. Scientists agree that the primary cause of lung cancer is the long-term exposure to tobacco smoke. Other factors also include genetics, air pollution, and secondhand smoke.

Lung cancer can be detected using a chest x-ray and a CT scan and can be confirmed using a bronchoscopy of CT-guided biopsy.
