Newton High security scare may have been guerilla marketing ploy (http://wbz.com/pages/344541.php?contentType=4&contentId=403631)

Boston (WBZ Newsroom) -- Newton police are investigating what appears to be a marketing prank that caused some frightening moments early Monday morning.

The State Police bomb squad was called to Newton North High School to examine a number of backbacks found hanging from trees with dollar bills sticking out of them.

The packages turned out to be harmless. The school was not evacuated but students were kept indoors until police wrapped up thier investigation.

Turns out the bags in question bore the name of a social networking web site similar to myspace.com. The site B4class.com launched just last week. The site's founder is a 17 year old senior at Quincy High School, Sofia Loginova.
