Some of the members who have been loyal already know through PMs that I have made a fun feature available to them as a thank you for coming back.

As I mentioned in the donations thread, I had planned on something along the lines of email accounts for those who donated to keep the site running. I had been having some trouble getting the program to work properly and over the holiday, I had alot of time to work on it and get it working.

I won't post the URL to the email accounts here yet, I want this to be a reward for those people who have come back after the Hillary debacle. If you have been posting lately and i haven't emailed you, post here and I'll get to you in a PM.

As for the talk about an instant messaging program, I guess vBulletin feels that that is what the private messaging function is for so they never had a instant messenger. It would be very easy to add a chatroom that logs you in using your forum name, I already have that, just would need to get it setup which would take about an hour.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the getthehiv email accounts. They have all the features that gmail offers and all kinds of storage space There is a my documents area where you can share files with all other email users or keep them private.

Just wanted to offer everyone a great little program that will work from your Windows desktop to let you know when you have email in you getthehiv.com email account.

This is a zip file, unzip to a folder on your computer. Once unzipped, click on the smagent folder and click on the setup.exe file there. It will install this small progran to your computer. Once done, click run now and you will then setup the program. It will notify you whenever you get emails to your email account so that you don't have to keep the email account open all the time.

Never delete any files from the install folder befor you install this on your computer as there is a configuration file that is needed that tells the program where to find our email program. Without it, your email notifier program won't work.

If you have any questions or problems, post them here and I will help out. I have no idea if this works on Vista yet, you can try it but it works on all previous Windows versions.

Sounds like a great program, but my virus and spyware software doesn't like it so I'll have to stick with manually checking my mail.

Sometimes those programs sound off alarms because they send a message outside of your computer which is how this program checks to see if you have messages. My antivirus was fine with it.

Don't feel bad my laptop freaked out and crashed so i had reinstall everything in the process I lost a bunch of shit including my favorites. Can't get to gth mail now :(

Ok SD i figured it out.all you have to do is replace /forums with /mail on the end of the gth URL
