The best way to attract new people is with content. I know that is not a big revelation... but hear me out.... ONA & RNF have how many boards? the bag, .net (both shows), FBA, spread the iris... and the list keeps going. To split the fans yet again will be very hard. The best thing that the hiv has in its favor is the pest space. No other board has pest space, so why not use that to the advantage of GTH? Promote not as a board but as a replacement for myspace among the pests... and then have the board on the other end of the site...and people will navigate to the board in time... the first trick is to get them on the site... then hit em w/ the board. I know that is not a solution based around something that the posters of the board can do, but its @ least an idea.

I also think that a campaign to get new listeners is the direction for gth.... i know that as far as boards go... most fans have some affiliation with one.... (i.e. i am an FBA guy for the most part) but if gth could gain more new listeners for the show somehow... it would gain credibility with the show and therefore get more traffic. so why not start to spread the virus via gth?

Let's get the site some recognition and spread our own Get the HIV virus! I’d like to organize a photo scavenger hunt. Let's make this as creative as possible and have some laughs while we're at it. The “huntable” items are listed below.

When you find an item from the list, you must take a picture. The picture must include you and the item with a sign of “Getthehiv.com”. The sign should contain the following:
• Getthehiv.com (this being the most visible on the sign)
• Opie & Anthony
• Ron & Fez
• xm202
If one of our fellow HIVers could create a sign that everyone can download, that would be great.

Basically, it is similar to “Attack on the Media” and “Sex for Sam”. Of course, nothing illegal must be done. Also, don’t make the signs permanent, don’t do anything to harm yourself or anyone else, and be sure to have permission of others you want a picture with.

Since members are from various cities, we will try to make the items easy to find in any area.

Again, be creative with your pictures (crazy positions, poses, action shots, etc). Along with the picture, provide a brief description of the encounter (funny, descriptive, interesting). Post the picture on the board unless you think it might violate terms of service (sexual content, etc). If so, send it to HillaryTheGreat, socialdviant, or mailman73 and we’ll post it on the board.

Hopefully, word will spread through the boards and the shows about the hunt. In the best case scenario, it will be mentioned on one of the shows. After all, that will be the ultimate goal.
