Man rung up on charges (http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=182633&srvc=art)
Can you arrest me now?
Dennis police say they caught an assault and battery suspect just by calling him on his cell phone.
Eric M. Nolan of East Dennis let his phone ring and the sound led police to his hiding spot in the woods - 50 yards from his live-in girlfriend’s condo - just hours after being released on domestic violence charges and then allegedly attacking his girlfriend and threating her houseguests, police said. Despite court orders to stay away, Nolan, 42, called the victim and sent her several text messages before returning to her home to try to force his way inside, police said.
When police arrived at the residence for a second time they called Nolan and heard the ringing from the nearby woods. Nolan silenced the call by sending it to voice mail rather than shutting off the phone. Officers called the phone several times and, hearing the ring, found Nolan with ease.
