They had detected a minor problem with the server and had to take it down for a short time. Sorry for the problems!

Sorry, the server went down and nobody where the server is hosted noticed. I'm guessing it was down for about 5 hours or so. Sorry.

Yeah, I'm awaiting a response back from the server company on why they had no idea the server was down for so long. It's really unacceptable to me.

It probably crashed and needed a reboot. I was able to ping the server's network last night, but not the server itself. Yes, I did some technical shit, I needed the HIV.

You're still here, so all is well. Server crashes unite a board, right?

Unfortunately they happen. It just happened while I was at work. 5 Minutes after I notified them, the server was back up.

I just know of it happening 2 times. I believe we have a sudden influx of people coming to check us out and it crashes.

Ah, a bandwidth problem then. There sure are alot of bots checking out the board all the time I know that. Do they eat up bandwith like regular people do?

I have seen where people have complained of the bots draining the bandwidth. I'm sure it would if they were connecting and disconnecting constantly.

That they do. Is there anyway to keep em off the board?

Yea there is, you can send a request to the bot's home to have them remove it. Without the bot, the sight(GTH for example) will not be shown in a search on what ever site owned the bot.

Yeah bots are a good thing. It's not because more people are coming here that the server goes down. They sent me an two emails saying they had to do emergency service on the server and that it would be down about 15 minutes. I just think that when the server came back up, it didn't restart everything and they didn't bother to check.
