This is an excellent thread on why Free FM may succeed where WNEW failed. As Warren Kurtzman puts it, "some guy named Howard Stern" may be the difference.

I think the difference is the new FCC regulations, but that just may only affect they way all the shows broadcast.

I blame Janet Jackson's right tit and liberals.
